#Talzhan uses sign throughout all of his life. He begins to speak around age 6, though due to his hearing not quite kicking in until then it's a difficult transition. By his teens, he can speak a little more clearly, but would rather handspeak. Most of the time he's non-verbal, but he can hear.

I like the idea of auri children being delicate lil alien creechurs (and full of mischief)

Viera children are probably also delicate as well (and full of mischief)

So #Talzhan is doubly delicate for that reason (and twice as mischievous)

Tbh, Richeh reminds me a lot of #Talzhan. He, too, doesn't like school all that much because he finds different solutions to things, but the teachers don't embrace his unique way of answering. He's a genius kid who is stifled by everyday academia. So Erenville does a lot more "field" teaching.

#talzhan doesn't have much shetona feature other than tail/peets until he's older when he grows lanky (but tall like an au ra).

He is definitely more hare than bnuuy in personality because he can hear and sometimes see the remnants of aether that belonged to a person. Places like PotD feels sad.
