My favorite is MILDRED PIERCE (1945) but last year at #TCMFF I saw DAISY KENYON (1947) in which Joanie more than held her own against Henry Fonda, Dana Andrews *and* Otto Preminger. One of her only Twentieth Century-Fox outings. I was greatly impressed. #NoirAlley

I've been on a Jane Fonda kick since the #TCMFF announcement. Today I watched #CatBallou (1965, Elliot Silverstein) 🤠 I can't recommend it highly enough. A genuinely funny, charming Western comedy with great performances by Fonda and Lee Marvin.
