Godot editor showing GDScript. It calculates gravity as 'g = 2 * h / (t * t)' in the ready function. In physics_process, it sets 'velocity.x' using 'Input.get_axis' and triggers a jump by subtracting 'jump' from 'velocity.y' when the character is on the floor.
Today’s boss fight: Gravity. 🍎 After hours deep in the Godot docs, I finally cracked the formula for my 2D character: g = 2h/t². It’s crazy how time flies when you’re mixing math and graphics! 🚀

NGL, I'm tired but happy with my progress on UVs and textures. Shaders are getting heavy and my tablet is hitting its limit, so I might start selling assets on itch to fund a PC build. What do you guys think?

A screenshot of the final, functional shader code in Godot. The variable "blue" has been changed to a "vec4" to include an alpha (opacity) value. The next line reads "COLOR = blue;", which successfully tells the GPU to paint every pixel of the object in that specific shade of blue.

a simple shader material but it took me 3 hours. I learned that shaders are procees by the GPU, not the CPU. It doesn't work like a regular script, and vectors are really important!

Had my first art installation Saturday in #NuitBlancheToronto which was amazing and surreal! It was an incredible experience. It was wonderful to see everyone interacting with my art! Being able to combine games and art in a physical installation was a dream come true!
