🔬 Our members Ahmed Taheri and Joaquín Reyes have contributed to an in-depth revision of the #Temnothorax rottenbergii group, combining morphometrics and even molecular phylogenetics using UCEs to clarify lineages and species-level variability.

🐜 En la Península Ibérica habitan más de 50 especies de #Temnothorax pero de entre ellas no hay una más grande y potente que Temnothorax formosus.
🗺️ El género #Myrmoxenus se distribuye por el oeste del Paleártico, todas parasitan colonias del género #Temnothorax. En la península Ibérica encontramos cinco especies: M. algerianus, M. bernardi, M. kraussei, M. ravouxi y M. stumperi, la segunda de ellas endémica.

T. duloticus might be even closer to T. curvispinosus than T. minutissimus, but I couldn't fully resolve that.
