A tale of two statues. While doing fieldwork in Valle del Aconcagua, Chile earlier this year, I visited the statue “La temporera” dedicated to the mujer temporera of the valley. A month later I was in Sitges, Catalunya and encountered statue “La noia de la malvasía.”
