"Hey are you that guy thats always pointing at #Cordyceps #tenuipes on trees?"
yes, yes I am.
It's a simple life.
Yes I went and put it on moss to make it look pretty lol. But what a pretty #zombie fungi #Cordyceps #tenuipes can be :) #Fungifriends See my reply below to see as it was found.
When my lady gets on the tools, she rips and tears, then rebuilds it better. Shit gets done. Today I weeded a herb garden & she redid some wood. An she totally found the nicest #Cordyceps #tenuipes I have seen in ages. Oh and you should prepare to get authentically hammered. RIP headphone users :)
So if all " #Cordyceps #tenuipes " look the same, why bother looking at them? Well heres one #zombiehunter Jade pointed out to me today as a bit different. Reminds me of the #Ceratocystis epigloeum #fungi I see on #Tremella fuciformis fungi, which itself eats #Annulohypoxylon & #Hypoxylon fungi.
" #Cordyceps #tenuipes " is a large complex of species. Many look quite similar like these I photographed today
#Cordyceps #tenuipes is a #zombie #fungi infects the pupae and larvae of #butterfly and #moth. Here its monstering a moth chrysalis hidden in tree bark. A similar lookinh zombie fungi, #Isaria #cicadae is often found nearby and it instead eats cicada larvae in the soil.
