A spaniel puppy being taken for her first walk in a suburban setting. She has been kept at home until the age of 17 weeks for her vaccinations to take effect
Tess going for her first walk this morning. Distemper and parvo virus are very prevalent here so our vet advised keeping her in until a week after her third set of shots. She did well but a bit scared of traffic

Springer spaniel puppy, 4 months old, wearing a blue harness, in the sit position on a wooden floor
Another milestone - we have moved to the large size of harness. Still a fair amount more growing to do, I suspect. Tess has also learned “Sit” and “Wait”

Springer Spaniel puppy looking through bannisters to be at eye level with the person below
Our puppy Tess has an endearing habit. When you go to the coat closet she runs up the stairs alongside so she can be at eye level with you.

Crate training is going well when a puppy just hangs out there when the door is open. #dog #tessthespaniel #springerspaniel
A spaniel with an undocked tail is a pleasing sight. The practice is dying out, thankfully. It must
be damaging to a dog not to have a tail, through which a great deal is signaled, and the process itself is surely agonizing. #tessthespaniel #springerpuppy #springer #dogs
Today Tess graduated to the next size of harness (Medium). Need to invest in Large pretty soon, I think #tessthespaniel #springerspaniel #puppy #dogs
