Carlos hooked a finger under Tetsu's chin, taking a second to admire his handiwork.
Tetsu was flushed, a healthy blush coloring his cheeks and warming down his neck. He wore his affections entirely on his skin; Carlos needed only to touch him, to kiss him, to dance his hands over Tetsu's body to draw out the color, the blush marking wherever Carlos had been like handprints in sand.
The blush was his base, a foundation on which Carlos layered heavy kisses, ruddying the stretch of Tetsu's neck and shoulders with love bites and lipstick impressions.
Carlos favored a strong pigment and a formula that applied smoothly; being transfer-proof was not a quality that concerned him.
He turned the lipstick over in his fingers, popping off the gold cap with ease. Carlos would be hard-pressed to say which he enjoyed more, the artful scattering of kiss marks across Tetsu's skin or the way Tetsu's eyes followed his every move as Carlos touched up his lips, renewing the color to add to his collection. He capped the lipstick again, smiling as he took a look at the fine print at the base.

Carlos turned Tetsu's head, letting his fingers slip between Tetsu's lips as he filled the empty spaces of his canvas. He kissed fresh color onto Tetsu's neck, at his collarbone and near the edge of his hairline.
"Do you know," he asked, kissing the corner of Tetsu's mouth, then the high curve of his cheek, "what this shade is called?"
Tetsu shook his head. He was good with details but the lipstick was new.
Carlos coaxed Tetsu's face up, kissing him as his hands fell into Tetsu's hair, kissing him, kissing him, kissing him, determined for them to share in a color that looked good on them both.
"Tell Me Something Good."
