Book 21 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “Lies Sleeping"
It’s got some fantastic character arcs, an engaging storyline, a final confrontation with the main nemesis, humor, and action sequences that aren’t overly complicated yet keep you on the edge of your seat.

Book 20 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “Howl’s Moving Castle"
The movie adaptation takes almost every one of the book’s flaws and solves them. So what’s left in the original book is almost a different story, and a far inferior one. I wanted to love it but didn’t.

I'd have liked a less rushed & more ambiguous end. However, there were beautiful passages of writing dealing with climate apocalypse devastation, especially the bit with the whales

A compulsive read! 3 Lighthouse keepers vanish from their offshore light in 1972, with the door bolted from inside. 20 yrs on, an author tries to unravel the mystery by interviewing the partners left behind
Loved this one. Sharp, twisty, and full of reveals I genuinely didn’t see coming. The character development kept me hooked right to the end. A clever, satisfying read.

Book 18 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping"
The beginning is a mess, I almost DNF. I recommend you read chap 1 then skip to chap 8. After that it’s the cozy romantasy you’re expecting with characters you actually care about and it’s not bad!

Book 19 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “Nobody's Baby"
A really wonderful sequel to the first which is shaping up to be a fantastic series! "Murder, She Wrote" in Space! My only complaint is that these novellas are short and I’ll have to wait so long for the next one.

Book 17 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “The Butcher's Masquerade (Dungeon Crawler Carl #5)"
The best so far! Great character development and arcs, important conversations, great comedy, excellent manipulation of tension, and action sequences that I didn't find too overwhelming.

A 52 Book Club's 2026 Reading Challenge graphic for a fulfilled prompt. Prompt: # 03 - Written without Quotation Marks Book Title: Dept.H Omnibus Volume One by Matt Kindt and Sharlene Kindt The book cover dominates the right half of the graphic. My next read took me back to the main challenge for #the52bookclub. Since I was on a roll with graphic novels, I read Depth.H Omnibus Volume One. A deep-sea murder mystery rooted in hard sci-fi, this was interesting but I found it impossible to connect with any of the characters.
6 – Title starts with the letter O: On the Road by Jack Kerouac - A restless, jazz-soaked journey across America. It’s “On” opening the title and its pages to spiritual, cultural, and existential wandering. #the52bookclub #booksky
