I’m honestly sad about #TheBachelorette dying out this way. I liked it more than #TheBachelor. I can almost always root for the female leads, which I can’t say about the men. And I enjoyed chatting on here with everyone during the weekly episodes — I’m glad at least there’s other shows to talk about
Look, I'll 100% admit I'm in the tank for this franchise, but I truly can't believe they're going ahead with this premiere as scheduled. This isn't an original thought, but if the star of #TheBachelor was involved in a DV incident days before premiere, ABC would almost certainly pull it...?
My first seasons from the Bachelor franchise were Charity and then Joey's which both were pretty good seasons. Shame to see that the franchise is pretty much dying again with what happened with Jenn, Grant, and now Taylor's season. #TheBachelor #TheBachelorette

In this show, Farmer Wants a Wife (it’s even admitting in the name that he’s very low-effort, low-intention about this), they send, like, 40 women to try-out as ranch-hand helpmates, so these poor women are just doing chores and running the ranch for weeks, NOT getting sent home, bc the farmers just rebelliously go, “Nah, not doing that,” lol, what a mess! This is from the Chad Chad video I linked above. It’s blowing my mind-grapes 🍇
I haaaaaaaate it, especially women filmed in a circle just exclusively having Bechdel-Test-failing conversations that make these men seem important. They’re just farmers! Ladies! Come on! You’re all way better than this, and this isn’t the way to get on television.
It’s unseemly. Also, it just flat doesn’t happen in the real world. One might “pursue” a man like this for reasons of lust or personal gain or whatever, but you’ll never have women lined up and competing with one another. That’s like a patriarchal fever wet-dream that acknowledges their idea that men are special and worth fighting over which again doesn’t happen. Maybe in high school, idk, it’s been a while for me.
Every one of the women from Chad Chad’s clips she’s pulled says the same thing: “He’s not talking to me…” bc nobody on the production team though that farmers would be reluctant to engage with women. Also, one lied and just never mentioned he’d been married, so a string of women try to modulate their reaction of, “You were fucking married?!” on camera, which seems super uncool to me. That it’s uncool is also Chad Chad’s point. It’s a good video! You should go watch it.
