It really makes me angry how religion (Christianity/Catholicism specifically) has been used as a weapon to wipe out “the other.” Women, people of color, queer people, trans people, people who don’t speak English. It really just makes me sick.

This book in particular really highlights the awful horrors that women faced during the witch trial mania. The series as a whole also has threads of women looking after women which is very heartwarming

Honestly I think a #PracticalMagic tv series would be interesting to see, but I think the screen writers definitely need to untangle some things to make it flow a little better.

It’s interesting how #AliceHoffman isn’t fact checking herself on her own lore? Like with each book I’ve read someone’s backstory gets tweaked a little bit. I don’t know if it’s cuz of when she wrote each book or what but I find the inconsistent continuity to be very annoying
