To be perfectly honest, I don’t think I could recommend #TheManipulated to everyone. The first two episodes, although gripping, were very difficult to watch. It’s only at the end of the second when the viewers can start to see a way out of the nightmare Taejoong is living.

#kdrama #TheManipulated was most disappointing to ME, personally, because it was so violent. I wanted to support my favorite actor, Doh Kyungsoo, but I just don't have enough emotional fortitude to complete this show yet.

#TheManipulated es un drama de acción y thriller que se ve solo pero del que esperaba más.
Un buen elenco, Ji Chang Wook siempre fantástico, escenas de acción algo flipadas pero llamativas, una trama interesante y dura, pero el thriller se me queda a medias.
Como entres te pillas, eso seguro.
I had to compare this to #DearX obviously as both #kdrama had such a contrasting implementations of plot armour. The good part about #TheManipulated is that they never suddenly make Park Tae-jong immortal, he's just really hard to kill from episode 1 because he's running on rage and revenge.
I mean, the romcom sequel already wrote itself. Pair these two up as leads, I'd watch that. 😊

Relatively, Park Tae-jong still lost 5 years of his life and lost his only brother.
Either way, I'm satisfied with that ending. And may JCW get his well deserved rest after this #kdrama
Maybe he can do another romcom next because this role clearly took a toll on him.

You see, a #kdrama can be stupid and add things like plot armor to protect the protagonist, but they have to be consistent from the start.
#TheManipulated knows that. They respect their own universe's rule from the start no matter how stupid. The narrative ends up satisfyingly as a result.
Well, with that level of escalation on the penultimate episode, might as well finish this #kdrama tonight 😅

What really surprised me is that she played a cold blooded emotionless killer really well too in #TheTyrant. I did not expect her to play my emotional strings really well here.

Holy fuck...Jo Yoon-su needs a lead role, and makes it an actual drama.
She can really play that emotional nuke scene; that father-daughter story was my absolute favourite. Which is impressive considering the limited exposure on it.

The father - daughter sub plot is really, really good.
The heartwarming context is absolutely needed and provides a great contrast with the brutality of the rest of the #kdrama.

Yeah I knew it, when it's just JCW planning his revenge, this #kdrama is fantastic.
I strongly suggest to skip episode 6 if you're picking up #TheManipulated. It adds zero value to the entire narrative.
