In particular, he seemed to have an affinity for birds, viewing them as "perfect" hunters. This fixation, coupled with a poor upbringing, led to Nolan sinking deeper and deeper into sadism as he grew older. As an adult, Nolan would become infamous for a bloodbath during a cold summer night. Being apprehended, Nolan is at first sent to prison. After several incidents, it is then determined that Nolan is far more mentally unstable than initially surmised. Because of this, he is declared mentally unfit to be relocated to a sanitarium. However, during the transfer, incompetence leads to Nolan once again becoming free. With no hesitation, Nolan returns to his stomping grounds, ready to continue hunting all new crops of victims.
