#TheSpiteHouse Multiple POV but easy to keep everything straight. I was probably more invested in why they were on the run but the ghosts were good too. Looking forward to reading more from #JohnneyCompton

I've been in a reading slump as of late. I finished #thespitehouse. The family dynamic was great but the dad 🤗. The audio for #bloodonhertongue is killing me. I suspect I'd enjoy it more if I read a physical copy. #theunworthy will have to be annotated. Next up is a cozy read and a nonfic.

To add to the list of #BlackHorror novels suggested in the quotes, I recommend Johnny Compton’s #TheSpiteHouse. It’s an awesomely creepy story about a Black father dealing with a haunted house (and other scary things, but no spoilers).
