did i struggle to come up with something to post today? yes... and no. it was a very hectic day around here, and i won't go into details, but that's why it took so long to get a pose going. but once i started... the day kind of faded away for a bit. posing is very meditative for me, and i'm really thankful for it on days like today. <3

someone *cough*CC*cough* sent me a post from the x place, and it made me go back and look at a similar shot i had done like this before. i still love playing around with light and color, and even though i might have found a recurring palette to work with, it's exciting that i'm still discovering new ways to bring it out in camera.

playing with that background again, definitely much happier with it this time around. i think it was just having it at a straight on angle made it feel flat that first time, though making the sequins a little smaller might also be helping... who knows. ;3

another day of experimenting with lights and playing with them in post a little. actually went in and did two different lights facing left and right for the front fill, then split them so it gave the impression of directional light radiating out from the center. >_<
