So yeah, like I said, this is for a *really* select group of people, but in a really oblique way, we did sorta get a Warriors story in the MCU.
I wonder if there was any hint of influence to the writers (Pearson, primarily I think) from this?

First, as 3rd act begins, we see the Void, and the effect in the movie.
My immediate thought; Darn it, this is too much like the Darkforce, now how we going to get MCU Cloak or Silhouette?

Sentry. Was never a big fan in the books. The concept always struck me as a bit 'too much' I suppose.
Here it works, it contrasts really well, and I liked the execution here.
However, as a New Warriors fan, I had some disappointments.

Collecting this group of characters made a lot a sense given what's been established. I love getting to see more of Hannah's Ghost, and of course Pugh's Yelena is a delight as always.

First though, I thought it was great. The overall 'grey' tone to the movie (color grading included), was an great direction

Apparently, in another script, she didn't die and was an important character. So thats a point for the theory they just felt like they needed to kill off one of the characters and picked her probably because "fans" didn't like her.

Thinking about the fact the book Anya drops in Yelena’s Void sequence is a book of Russian fairytales with Vasilisa the Beautiful/Brave on the cover.

I'm also glad they didn't try to be a new Suicide Squad. I'm disappointed with the Taskmaster "plot" which has no significance to the team. Showing Antonia's trauma, history and challenges would have been a great fit for the film's theme.

Wasn’t expecting to get emotional during Thunderbolts*, but also wasn’t expecting a story about mental health and found family.
Solid 3.8/5 I thought.
