The text below reads as follows: "Cosmic Parasites: Thuulith clans, and more specifically the Om (pg.3, image A.) at the center of their communities, are parasitic and require large seams of mana to survive and thrive. All clans are found in places rich in organic life, and therefore mana -- and they are especially common in places where leylines (divine rivers of mana that flow deep in earth and crust) cross over one another. As such, old growth forests and deep in The Subsurface along ancient, fae-laid paths are favorite hideouts of budding colonies -- though they are never too far from the settlements of resident humanoids. Once an appropriate location is selected, and the new Om settled deep into the landscape, it begins the process of converting the local biomass (including plants, animals, and people) into a sludgy mana-rich goo referred to in the common tongue as Ichor. It is from this "ichor" that new Thuulith eventually spring, and all other accoutrement used in the building of their new settlements. The Ichor feeds them, clothes them, fabricates their interstellar ships, and provides everything else at the cost of the local ecosystem. Over time the local mana is entirely depleted by the Om, leaving a fetid slurry and the husk of a once flourishing environment in its wake."
