The mandala design is nearly complete and the image shows a small portion of the circle as Dawa uses brass tools to apply the sand to the board. Dawa's shoulder, arm, and hand are visible and the edge of his garment is deep red with blue piping on the edge. The sand painting is multicolored: blue, green, orange, yellow, brown, white, and red on a blue board. In 2013 Tashi Kyil monks from Dehradun, India visited my town. They returned 2x in later years. Their monastery in Eastern Tibet was destroyed during the Chinese Cultural Revolution and, in 1967, they rebuilt in India, where they reside to this day.
