Late evening scene on a brightly-lit street in a large city, facing towards a famous area known as "the crossroads of the world"; As always, Times Square is brightly lit from the perspective of its upper edge, with its iconic LED displays and colorfully lighted buildings; in the foreground, a number of pedestrians are crossing a street which is still very slippery due to the recent snow storm and freezing temperatures; one of the pedestrians in our scene is emerging from a big cloud of steam that is billowing out of a manhole in the street; the steam is very dense and makes it hard to read the crossing signal; there is a billboard for Calvin Klein and another for a film titled "Reminders of Him; the M&M's store is over there, too.
Late evening scene in a large city on a street covered with a layer of snow and ice; this is a very busy thoroughfare, so they have tried hard to remove the snow, and piled it up high behind our perspective; we are facing across the street at a group of large buildings - one of which is the rear of the Winter Garden Theatre (the front is one block west on Broadway) with its brightly-lit marquis; this nineteen-twenties era Broadway theatre is one of many operated by the Shubert Organization and is now featuring the long-running show "Mamma Mia!"; there is still quite a bit of snow on the floor and on everything, and it is not expected to be above freezing until sometime next month; above the Winter Garden Theatre is a five-story tall mural with lettering that reads "Mo Salah - Larger Than Life."
Late evening scene in a large city, facing upward from a street in the city's busiest area during wintertime; the buildings in this borough of thw city are all close together and often connected to each other, and that is true for several of the high-rise buildings in our scene; one of the taller of these buildings has a brightly-lit spire and an old-school "time and temperature" readout, its amber lights currently displaying "negative seven degrees, celsius"; behind these buildings, and towering over them, is one of the City's supertall skyscrapers, Central Park Tower; it is an impressively engineered structure, albeit lacking a bit in personality; the tower stands tall against the dark night sky, and is actually several blocks away but seems closer - supertall skyscrapers give that type of optical illusion.
