Sir William Ryther (c.1408-1475) taken from his splendid effigy in Ryther Church, Ryther (Yorks). William likely fought at the battle of #Towton in 1461. His inclusion in the Commission of Treasons on Dec 1460 and his Yorkist livery collar proves him a supporter of Edward IV.
