4 years on from their graduation from Canterlot high school, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity decided to treat themselves to a two weeks trip to France's west Atlantic coast during the summer holidays. Their destination was the Re island in the Charente-Maritime departement of France, providing an excellent opportunity for these young ladies to discover this sumptuous french island while enjoying tasty seafood at mealtimes. Arriving at La Rochelle airport, the american women trio rented a car, and it wasn't easy having to drive a vehicle with a manual gearbox, as they were used to the automatic gearboxes of american cars. This was no problem for Rarity who was more used to this type of gearbox than her friends, having often travelled to France for a partnership with Jean-Paul Gaultier and Karl Lagerfeld. After dropping off their suitcases at the hotel-restaurant & SPA Plaisir in the town of Le Bois Plage en Ré, Rainbow Dash, Twilight and Rarity donned bathing suits and headed for the Rivedoux beach, close to the bridge over the Ré island, carrying tubes of sunscreen, sunglasses, towels and a cool box with cold drinks. They also brought retractable deckchairs to lie on, avoiding the inconvenience of sand sticking to the skin from sun cream. They can relax and enjoy the radiant sunshine and the summer temperature of 29 degrees and an Atlantic wind of 20km/h for a little freshness.
