What do you about the finished look?

WHAT Izania's land is the Land of Forests and Fog, the main mechanic of which is what I like to call PTSD fog. Basically half their land is covered in a thick fog after entering, you get assaulted by traumatic visions from your past. Need to write their first interaction with it soon, so wanted to draw it out to get a feel for it. I'm thinking they'll enter, and then get swarmed with water, bringing them back to their home in the sea before they got bullied out of the ocean for being a weak violet. Thinking for the first time they'll just confront their old bullies before getting saved by a.... Upcoming surprise new player I will be probably drawing at some point soon. Ive actually been kicking around this planet idea for 5ish years so Im really excited to get to put it into motion. Dont be surprised if you see more art of PTSD fog moments in the future. Cause goddamn do I plan to have a lot of fun with this

Do you ever just sit and play with your makeup? Have you done themed looks?

Being dramatic. Fun fact- this palette was actually sourced from a picture of my bedroom. My dresser has a built in led and the purple light coming off it looked cool as fuck, so I took a pic and used the colors for this (and hopefully future art)

Top left: Got my fins back so Izania from across their timeline, as a grub, teal disguise era, more godtier art

Top left: Yeah... Everything is fine Been playing with palettes more, trying to get better with colors and more creative in my use of them.

Bottom middle: oh fuck (age: 5 sweeps -> currently being attacked by other violets. Lusus about to go insane and die) Besides bottom middle with Iza as a kid, most of this is Izania in their teal disguise era. Main disguise on right ofcourse, others are their more casual look like at home. Small head cannon- its uncomfortable for seadewellers to have their gills blocked directly, so keeping the choker obscuring their gills for too long is actually kind of painful for Iza!

Background: please let me stay So this takes place shortly after Izania moves on land, hence why they still have one fin and arnt disguised as a teal. Iza ends up in a city, while hiding out in an alley trying to find food they are found by a group of midbloods that dont realize Iza is a violet at first. Iza explains they were attacked by violets and had their hive destroyed and their lusus killed. The midbloods offer to bring them in and help them out, after arriving back at one of their hives though, with better lighting and Iza moving back their hair to reveal their fin accidentally the midbloods realize Iza is a violet blood and tell them to leave. Iza then has a bit of a mental breakdown due to thinking they finally found a safety only to be thrown out so quickly. Been trying to play around with perspective more lately, this was super fun to draw. I think I did pretty well at doing a bottom-up shot and getting it to look right

May change up the wing design yet. Tbh I forgor trolls had wings in their godtier fits so I literally came up with the design and added them literally this morning. Yes the wings are copy pasted because they are probably some of my least favorite things to draw

Wing inspo: generally I was thinking of their torn/divided history, leaving their hive after it was destroyed by other violet bloods, pretending to be a teal to fit in with other land dwellers. Also a kind of shell design, the outside rings kind of represent how they hide their true self.

Although the wings appear torn on top, that is literally just how the wings came out for them, and they are still perfectly functional. After going godtier and seeing their wings, they were like "really ((눈_눈)", they don't like that the wings are literally torn at the top, and they quickly get annoyed at the other party members asking about it

Iza has a lot of complicated feelings after going godtier. Not sure how they would die yet, but it was a lot for them. Getting their fins back also gave them a lot of complicated feelings. Its an odd physically reminder that "oh shit I am actually a violet blood and I can no longer pretend otherwise after going undercover as a teal for so long"
