I'm wearing a long line vest with a v neck and an upside down v hem opening. It's emerald green ditsy geometric print and has Viennese seams. The buttons are green and gold. I have the vest on with no shirt underneath.

Fabric and buttons vintage cotton crinkle crepe

This #truebiasquinn vest, not quite finished, is from a leftover remnant from sewing the #truebiasdani pants, and it's to be summer workwear (prob not with the pants unless I get braver). The fabric is a gorgeous cotton crepe, and then I had the perfect vintage buttons too 🤩🇳🇿🧵 meant to be!

A pattern piece is laid on top of two pieces of fabric which have been sewn together and the sean pressed open. I am cutting a facing from it going right over the seam.

I'm wearing bright emerald green elastic waist trousers. The fabric is a cotton crepe with a ditsy geometric print. The pants have cuffs.

One thing about me is I will patchwork remnants together if it means I can fully use up a length of lush fabric. Making a lovely longline 90s style vest with the #truebiasquinn pattern, to make up the rest of a summer office casual look. #garmentsewing

Here are the pattern adjustments (in green) that I am making, adding a size worth’s of ease just at the waist and along the front panel. The bust, armholes, hips and length were all great. Tweaking the pattern is my favorite part.

Here’s the muslin. It is kind of a perfect fit but I am going to add a bit of ease so it won’t be so bodycon or pull at the buttons. But I love the bust and the cut of the armholes. I’m excited to make the real thing now. 🪡

I'm wearing a beige vest with tall ships and various other nautical themed illustrations. It's got Viennese seams and is waist length, ending in points. It has 4 buttons which are the plastic faux leather knot jobbies.

Now I'm wearing the matching pants which are slightly barrel shaped and have seams down the front and more tall ships. I'm wearing a white collared shirt under the vest.

I have my hands on my hips and my shirt tucked in. The Viennese seams on the vest align with the seams down the trousers fronts, which is a stroke of luck

Okay so I couldn't help myself making another #truebiasquinn given I had exactly the right amount of fabric left over to make the waist length one after making my #helensclosetfalconer pants.
I only put them on together to get the pic for a laugh but ... I feel like a suave, quirky suit wearer 😂

Making this #truebiasquinn vest at the moment, view A as I had a teeny bit of this fabric left over from making my fun colonialist pants 😂 Will I wear them together? Maybe for a single photograph. These photos are short one sewn on bias armband - will my luck hold for the other. Hmmm. Doubtful.

I am wearing a close fitting vest in a floral gabardine. Underneath I have a white barkcloth shirt that looks fetchingly rumpled. I didn't make that. I did make the pants (black cord Helen's Closet Falconers). Behind me is a shirt I also made for Eddie, S8753 which is in a brushed cotton twill.

I am wearing a button down dress in dusty blue with yellow chrysanthemums and purple and teal leaves all over it. It has a grown on tie at the waist and sleeves which are nearly elbow length and have plackets.

I am wearing an a-line skirt in a lemon-lime green poplin check. It has wide belt loops and a tie at the waist, and green buttons down the front. It's pretty well pattern matched over the button placket.

Or, do I wear my #truebiasquinn vest with this thrifted big white barkcloth shirt? Or my #itchtostitchladera dress? Or this #mccallspatterns7906 poplin skirt?
Decisions, decisions. I brought too many clothes! If it was doable I'd be tempted to switch between sessions ..........
