#TuesReviews It's a clever picture book that I enjoyed:

I love you black. I love you restfully. Softer than sleep. Heavenly. I love you inky, darkly, star sparkly. I love you universe cosmos. Much loved are you more than anyone ever was.

Salka: The Lady of the Lake—the first book for adults by Francesca Simon, author of the Horrid Henry series—is a beautiful retelling of a Welsh myth. Initially written as an opera cantata called The Faerie Bride by the author, it was later transformed into the haunting novel it is today.
I escaped and relaxed while reading the short, dreamy chapters, some only a few sentences long. These chapters let fifteen different character voices breathe, from the titular character, Salka, to her shepherd-boy husband and love, his mother, his friends, and the girl he once knew, with her unrequited love for him.
The writing has a poetic style, exploring themes of suspicion, fear, longing, and prejudice.

#TuesReviews There is magic, poetry, power, kindness, and my favourite poem that encourages us to care for Earth, described as a marble in the book, and poetry devices to treasure and be inspired by. Also, the prompts by Anywhere Book Club for this book on Instagram inspired me to write to family.

I bought a new #poetry book today called Books and Libraries: #Poems from Everyman's Library Pocket #Poets series. It kept me entranced the whole time I was reading the poems, and it even inspired me to write an after-poem today. #TuesReviews

Positive Amazon reviews including a brilliantly uplifting read! Funny witty and relatable, a great read for children and adults! And possibly the best title of any poetry book out there!

#TuesReviews I enjoyed the thoughtful, clever animal poems of peacocks' gleaming sheens of ocean greens, a Crosseros Rhinoceros and elephants with their mighty fine tusks roaring and trumpeting the word mine. There's my favourite with the clever poem choosing creature features we'd love to have.

#TuesReviews It's a stunningly beautiful book from Joseph Coelho's account of how the book came about to the last page. I look forward to revisiting the pages on how to lengthen the ten-word tiny tales using illustrations to inspire writing. The sorcerer needed shared tears to make the magic work.

#TuesReviews A mouse, eventually named Thursday, arrives by a balloon after escaping from a home for stray Mice. His new family of mice, Mr and Mrs Peck, with their 19 children, grandparents, and uncles, welcomes him to their adventures. He learns of their family business and explores, overjoyed.

Michael Morpurgo's story is about a unicorn lady librarian telling stories, saving all the books they could, & waiting for a rebuilt new library. "I am a writer now, a weaver of tales. I believe in unicorns," the author tells us. The first ten laureates share stories and writing tips. #TuesReviews

#TuesReviews Mab's mum was poorly, and she adores fairies: fairy trinkets, paintings, fairy houses, and fairy costumes for her daughter to wear. But Mab doesn't like fairies the same way. It's a kind teacher, a school project, and a real fairy that helps Mab with her family.

From the opening pages, there's much laughter. The book also addresses complex topics such as bullying, violence, grief and disability, always with sensitivity. The story follows Zeke & although he feels his contributions are insignificant, there's so much to take away from this book. #TuesReviews

#TuesReviews It's a beautiful adventure about Gaston le Dog, who longs to revisit a beach. He has his heart set on it, and it isn't an easy feat for him to achieve. The reader will learn if the friends he finds are all trustworthy to him. Will the beach be everything he remembers and hopes for?

#TuesReviews Brightly Shining is a book you will want to read in one sitting. At Christmas, the ten-year-old character Ronja and her sister work to sell Christmas trees, dreaming of brightness and kindness in other places. It's a story of resilience & overcoming family struggles.
