Taken on 4 October 2013, landscape format. There are various islands on the River Thames: Two Tree Island lies off the north bank of the river, 'behind' the larger and more well known Canvey Island. Two Tree island is 'reclaimed' land, originally pasture, then a landfill site and now a nature reserve. It's largely undeveloped. The photo is in two 'strips': the top is blue sky with wispy white cloud typical of later summer; the lower part shows the island's grassy bank, with Canvey in the background. The hulk of a stranded wooden hulled boat is on the left side of the image, surrounded by grass. Taken with a Nikon D7000 and 18.0-105.0 mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.
