I'll actually be in Birmingham for the #UKOUG conference in a few days, to do exactly what you suggest - to meet up with old friends. I won't be at the actual conference (being retired a pass would be just too expensive), I'll be in the hotel bar next door, drinking coffee and the odd beer.
