Highly textured pot made from terracotta clay with white porcelain inlay abstract pattern

Had a few days off #ArtAdventCalendar due to seasonal busy-ness! (I could do with a nap tbh). Here's a pot from earlier this year when I started experimenting with cracking the surface of pots with sodium silicate, seeing where I can take it and add to it.

Kintsugi vase featuring Uffington White Horse in its downland landscape of whites, greens and pale blue fields and sky.

These take ages to make but I love making them.

Inspired by my local landscape this is the ancient chalk Uffington White Horse.

This pot pulled itself apart in the kiln so I did some kintsugi to put it together and, somehow, it just adds to it.

Labyrinth and spiral design, inspired by European prehistoric rock carvings. A wax relief design on crank (textured) clay with a turquoise glaze.
