Holodomor monument in Wascana Centre.

Bitter Memories of Childhood This monument commemorates the millions of victims of the enforced starvation by Stalin's communist regime during the Holodomor Famine Genocide in Ukraine 1932-1933. On May 7, 2008 the Saskatchewan Legislature passed Bill 40 the Ukrainian Famine-Genocide (Holodomor )Memorial Day Act making Saskatchewan the first province in Canada to recognize the Holodomor as genocide. Ukrainian Canadian Congress Regina Branch 2015

Sask was the first province to recognize the Holodomor. The memorial is "Bitter Memories of Childhood".
The original monument is in Kyiv, Ua.
I'm told the flower arrangement and articles left at the memorial are changed or added to at different intervals.
