Grimsley doesn't answer right away, shooting him a sidelong glance as he breathes in deeply, then lets it out in a cloud of smoke. He taps some of the ashes onto Emmet's side of the bed, which makes Emmet start with a disgruntled noise. His reaction makes Grimsley smirk. "Well, the next time we're having sex in your brother's bed, I'll be sure not to smoke after, since it bothers him so much." Emmet's smile hardens a bit. Grimsley is clearly mocking him, but it's not entirely clear what exactly he's poking fun at. “That is not what I was saying." Grimsley waves the hand holding the cigarette dismissively. "My bed, my rules. I'll fill it with ashes if I like."
Grimsley, sighs, smushing what's left of the cigarette into the ashtray on the bedside table. "You talk about him a lot, you know." Emmet instantly quiets. His grip on the blanket tightens. "He's important to you. I get it. Kind of a buzzkill, though." He rolls over to face emmet properly, head propped up in one hand, elbow in the pillow. Emmet's brow furrows slightly, his mouth a rare tight-lipped line. "Do you mean yourself, Mr. Grimsley?" He asks rather pointedly. Grimsley laughs, his voice rasping slightly at the edges.
