Now I’m on to this. The writing is rich and meaty. To my 2025 ear it’s cringe to read the racist and misogynistic passages. However, it’s an accurate depiction of the mid-century mindset. Fitzgeraldesque in many ways. Interesting to read about Social Security opinions.
