After losing 17kg through a combination of eating #upfFree and exercise, the weight loss had levelled off.
After a bit of experimentation and some reading, I’ve got it going again. I basically wasn’t drinking enough, especially before meals. I now fill up on water so I eat less.
It’s a transformative book. Going #UPFfree has helped me lose 16kg in six months
Halloumi burger
That cheese bake looks lovely! I had halloumi burger (and homemade buns), plus all #UPFfree
100% the reason I restarted. I’d made it for years before, but got lazy. I then started my #UPFfree journey, and discovered the absolute garbage in almost all bread, including from bakeries!
Now it’s lots of homemade items (bread, hummus, yoghurt), whole milk and actual butter!
Freshly sliced white bread
This is your reminder to get a bread machine - they are £10-15 secondhand.
This loaf took 5 minutes to prep, 60p in ingredients and tastes amazing! #UPFfree
Ironically, I’m largely #upfFREE now, so wouldn’t eat them. Sad times (except I have discovered M&S Single Origin chocolate, which I can have, and is divine!)
Science thanks you.
It’s s as nostalgia thing now. I’ve switched to Single Origin from M&S and it is phenomenal (and #upfFREE)
Reading a book on Ozempic at the moment. Although it promises to be non-judgemental, it does not sound good… #UPFfree
Ah, my snacks are part of my calories (and also #UPFfree).
Two small observations having been eating #UPFfree for 4+ months:
1. Smaller clothing feels loose. I can’t get over how much of my older clothes was so baggy. It’s a real measure, better than the scales.
2. I am genuinely hardly ever hungry.
Only three, despite loving them.
I’ve gone #UPFfree, which makes a genuine mince pie quite a challenge!
PSA for those who have been tracking their weight in the lead up to Christmas: yes, it’s gone up, because you’ve eaten more than you normally would.
This is NOT fat, it’s food inside you, being processed, and the weight will go back down once you are back to eating a normal amount. #UPFfree
First year doing Christmas #UPFfree, and I can confirm it is entirely possible. Not without certain sacrifices, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Cob loaf - so easy! Three cups of bread flour, one of water, sachet of yeast, 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix until sticky, cover for an hour, then preheat a casserole dish (with lid) in a 210 degree oven. Divide your dough into six balls as per the picture, leave for ten minutes, then put in the preheated dish for 30 minutes, then take the lid off and bake for another 10. Wait to cool before separating. 300 calories a bun!

Feeling better, sleeping deeper, thinking sharper.
