All Saints Church in Cranham have had a memorial poppy made of stones in their churchyard since #VEDay80 was celebrated in May.
It will remain until #VJDay80 in August "... remembering those who 80 years ago were still fighting for freedom."

Ink handwriting in a bound volume, written in 19th century hand. The two fables whose titles are underlined and written out are 5) The Pigeon & the Monkey and 6) The Hyena & the Hedgehog.
In our Archives collections, we hold this fascinating manuscript journal of George Maw's travels to Morocco in 1871. It doesn't just include botanical observations, but it is a rich account of culture, history, linguistics, and meteorology, to name a few.
