Just officially unsubscribed from #vidcon newsletter. I have some decent memories of the con, but it's just been useless and not worth the expenditure for me for the most part, especially as they cater more and more to "capitalism friendly" creators only while ones like me will forever be ignored.
So it looks like getting to see #DEATHBATTLE at #VidCon this year isn't gonna happen, with all the crazy stuff happening in the US these days
I'm more than a little upset about it, I got way too excited

Screenshot of my mastodon post: I've got 11 months (assuming the world doesn't end before the next #vidcon ) to try to find someone to go with that 1. isn't going to be creepy about the fact that I'm a topfree equality activist 2. doesn't freak out in crowds 3. gets up earlier than 3pm usually 4. has the free time to go down to Anaheim with me for a week in June 5. has at least some experience holding a camera without it looking like shit I only have two friends that are even remotely close to meeting this criteria...one I met at previous Vidcons and she'd probably be great at all of it, except that she's a talent manager so she's always busy running around networking and going to panels more aligned with her interests, and the other friend...doesn't do well with crowds, and struggles to maintain anything close to a "normal person" sleep schedule, instead usually waking up at 3pm or later and going to bed around 7 in the morning.... 🙃
My criteria for hopefully finding someone to go to #vidcon with next year...
