A vomit draft is where I write at least 5K words a day until the book is done. These are not pretty, polished, final words. More like me throwing scenes and characters at a wall and seeing what sticks. But at least now I have something to work with.

I like to call this my "vomit draft" since I am just spewing words on a page at this point, seeing what works and what doesn't. Some folks also call it a "zero draft" and that you are "telling yourself the story". I like that last idea.
