The photo is a black and white image of the cab of a small locomotive. This freight engine was the smallest locomotive used by the Wabash Railroad. It was original built in 1899 as the #754, it was redesigned in 1915 into a 2-6-0 Mogul-type engine and renumbered #573. It was primarily used to carry freight across a bridge over the Illinois River at Bluffs, Illinois that couldn't support the weight of a heavier diesel locomotive. It was retired in 1982 after the Wabash Railroad merged with the Norfolk Souther Railway.
