This is a photograph of two sketchbook laying open on a bed of grass. On the sketchbooks is the same landscape scene both painted in watercolour. The scene is from the view from the top of Walton Common Hill Fort the top painting was painted on the 1st of April at the start of the artist challenge, plein air April. The painting at the bottom was painted on the 30th of April. The artist has painted plain air every day of April and documented this challenge here on blue sky.

Tomorrow is the 1st of May and with that brings an end to plein air April. Today i revisited where I started at #waltoncommon hill fort. The top one was painted on the 1/4/25 and the second today the 30/4/25.
