The head is on fire, just like the killer clown from Twisted Metal. Togera's fourth unlockable costume, the red demon skin with green eyes, is a reference to the demon called Minion, also from the Twisted Metal Series. Preytor's fourth unlockable costume, the giant yellowjacket wasp with red eyes, is a likely a reference to the yellow taxi cab vehicle from the Twisted Metal series, who is also called Yellowjacket.
War of the Monsters alt costumes for Agamo, Togera and Preytor reference Sweet Tooth, Minion and Yellowjacket respectively. In Twisted Metal: Black, they're all from the same family (Needles Kane, Marcus Kane and Charlie Kane). Mind blown.
