First flood irrigation yesterday. Nice to see the acequias running. Speeds up the spring process, with green sprouts overnight. The water absorbed quickly due to lack of ground moisture. Not sure if we will have irrigation beyond spring.

This photo was taken during spring runoff several years ago. The Rio Grande hasn't looked like this since. These days, there are stretches where it is easier to navigate the bosque via the former river channel than the forest.
