Up until these new black hole patches I’m working on, this was the last thing I built on the #wavestate and that was over 2 months ago.
That’s an eternuty considering the wavestate is kind of my daily driver, as it were.

Also there’s a fuckton of onboard compression going into this patch. The sounds in Layer C kind of demand it, otherwise this would be a muddy mess.
I’m really glad I dug into how to do that effectively with the Modern Compressor algo on the #wavestate. Really effective, and it pretties things up

Goddammit I thought I was going to have to scrap and redo today’s new song, *but* the "glitches" I heard were due to an S&H LFO on Layer C’s pan, so the jumps through the panorama are just that - jumps - rather than slides.
Had to power on the #wavestate to double-check that.

Soooo I’m looking at Chopin’s Raindrop Prelude as something I want to experiment with on the #wavestate as well.
I know a 61-key keyboard (most likely) will not be optimal to make this happen, *but* given I can shift an individual layer’s register, I might be able to make something happen.

I also didn’t completely lose the airy strangeness from Layer A quite as much thanks to tamping down the +1.0 dB boost I’d given to Layer B in the setup menu on the #wavestate.
So overall, the changes I made to the patch last night and this morning were definitely the right choices
