Honored to receive first place poster award at #wcbr2025! Thanks to all who stopped by. The poster (and my panel) explored divergent signaling dynamics in VTA dopamine subpopulations, as well as functional roles for glutamate and dopamine in co-transmitting VTA neurons. Stay tuned for more!

My #WCBR2025 talk covered how the thalidomide tragedy impacted women in health research. Here is a great piece on how thalidomide led to important preclinical research.

Funding research to develop safe & effective drugs is crucial to avoid future medical tragedies

Winter brain 2025 was a blast! Our panel on microdosing #psychedelics was the most attended session of the conference. We covered 4 distinct areas: anecdotal/lived experience, preclinical neuroscience, clinical, and cardiovascular risk. Most people stayed after for a great discussion. #WCBR2025

Thank you to the organizers of this conference and all of the amazing scientists I was able to speak with. As a first time attendee I was met with kindness, advice, and interest from the most senior, influential scientists to early careers researchers like myself. #WCBR2025 #WBC2025

I might not have won any academic awards, but I’m happy to say that I rounded out this wonderful past week by winning the Smitty Stevens Memorial Race at #WCBR2025.

This past week has been a dream come true for me, allowing me to combine two of my greatest passions: snowboarding and neuroscience

Had such a good time at my first #WCBR2025. Great science and some old friends I don’t see often. Looking forward to getting back next year, hopefully with NIH friends this time.

Had one of the best conferences ever at #wcbr2025. Too much fun seeing everyone (last night’s dance floor was 🔥), hearing about all the awesome science, and being in one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been. Can’t wait for Big Sky next year 😍

It was such a pleasure to Chair a session at the 2025 Winter Conference on Brain Research and I’m lucky I got to present the lab’s recent work with such a talented group of scientists. It’s been a great meeting and a bit of an escape from the chaos we will return to tomorrow. #WCBR2025 #WCBR25

This weekend I made a quick stop at #wcbr2025 to talk about some of the lab’s work. Thanks to @melissajsharpe.bsky.social and Kate Wassum for organizing a great panel. Science is done by people and I am ever grateful to be surrounded by an amazing team and colleagues.
