I remember talking to an Air Force recruiter after I graduated high school (1993) where I wanted to be a fighter jet pilot & was told "girls" couldn't do that (even though the first woman pilot emerged that year). I was stupid & listened to him but so glad others didn't. #WeCanNotGoBack
In 1960, role models of women scientists were difficult to find. I checked this out of my local public library numerous times while being repeatedly told that "girls can't be scientists".
