My post-flu shot body finally gave out on me yesterday. I collapsed into bed at 7pm and slept for ten hours. Needless to say this has recharged my batteries. Whilst summer is still in full swing here, time is beginning to turn. It’s now still dark when I wake up at 5:30 and soon it seems I will be out the door before the sun comes up. This is both a pleasure and a sorrow for me, for whilst I love my quiet, early walks in the pre-dawn grey, this shift signals the coming of autumn and the inevitability of winter.
