Welsh boxer Johnny Owen was born on January 7, 1956 in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
On 19 September 1980 in his bout against Lupe Pintor in Los Angeles, Johnny was knocked out and never regained consciousness, and died seven weeks later.
