Wanda's new Sorceress Supreme look is so good. It's clear no one loves Wanda more than @thesteveorlando.bsky.social and @rdauterman.bsky.social. Bernard Chang and Ruth Redmond did great work bringing the pages to life.

Looking forward to more Wanda!

Finally finished Sophie Campbell and Matt Frank's Mothra miniseries today.

That's that good shit.

I never really expected to have a Supergirl book jumping to the top of my pile every time a new issue came out, but Sophie Campbell's run is just that good

Recently did a two-week trip to Asia, and my airplane readings were STRING and DANDADAN, both of which were absolute bangers.

Highly recommend.

I just got my hands on this slice-of-life comic by S.E. Case, a cool former coworker from my La Crosse Tribune copy desk days. #WeReadsComics

New Comic Day! What you looking for? What's exciting?

I grabbed THE EXILE last week on a whim, and it's a grounded, gorgeous, Icelandic Viking story - very much all the historical conventions, but grounded to real human activity, circles of violence and vengeance between people.

Catching up on the comics backlog, and sometimes an editorial slip creates an accidental crossover

This thing showed up in the mail. I think I’ll give it a try and see what it’s about.

I've been thinking about my Superman, thanks to the conversation around the new movie. It turns out I have a fairly picky taste in takes on Superman. Who knew.
One of my favorite moments is in Superman Back in Action, Action Comics 771-773 from 2007.
Let's go back One Year Later! 🧵

Reading World’s Finest #39 and Waid struck gold with Happy Batman.

He needs to be DC staple.

I know it's not quite Wednesday but just finished The Hand and the Six Fingers and had to post about it.

What an amazing comic. Beautiful use of two perspectives, so many hints laden throughout.
Can't wait to give it a reread just to see what I missed!

Fantastic Four: 1234, by Jae Lee & Grant Morrison, comes out this week.
I'm not really an FF guy, but I think about the last spread of #3 frequently. It's an excellent Mr Fantastic bit, when Doom has the high ground, gloats, and Richards just says, "Well Victor, I've been thinking." 🧵

I’m late to the party but I’m sitting down now with Cat Kid Comic Club and Dav Pilkey is working on a level of metacomics the rest of us mere mortals can only dream of. #WeReadsComics

Very french, great art, effortless dialogues (for the reader). True work of art by Xavier DORISON and Julien TELO.

I picked up Xtreme X-Men vol. 2 when it came out last year. I’m actually reading it now. Other than Mekanix, it’s all new to me.
Happy #WeReadsComics day, everyone.

Did both available volumes of Public Domain by Chip Zdarsky, great book.

Classic family saga about the struggle of a screwed superhero creator and his kids, done with humour, character and just good, sincere drama.
Feels a bit overlooked, check it out. #WeReadsComics

Getting through my haul purchased a few weeks back and just finished the Dark Knights of Steel series.
Recommended by a very kind person while queuing up for free comic book day at @okcomics.bsky.social and is just a lot of fun.
Especially good reveal of the villain behind it all!
