Hare sat with herself each day before the dew dried, when the sun was still soft and the birds were still singing their first song. She sat in delighted solitude, breathing in the world. It was her time to listen to the whispers in her head and turn them into dreams.

When life was chaotic, or overwhelming, Heron knew how to find the peace he needed to get him through the day. He’d learnt that stillness of the body created stillness of the mind. It took him a life time of practice, but it was worth it. Plus, he was amazing at musical statues.

Doe could be found deep in the woodland, far away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by quiet and magical moments. This was her sanctuary, a place she could retreat to whenever needed. She’d spend her days deep in thought, away from it all, filled with peace and enchantment.
Getting there… only one month to go!! Opening night is 27th March. You coming?! #ExhibitionSneakPeak #WhenBeastsSpoke #SoloExhibition
Hare found herself lost in the enchantment of her favourite things; meadow gold, crispy seeds, gentle barley fields. She often found time just to sit and to be. After all, nothing was more important than being, and nothing more enchanting than being with your favourite things.
Not every day is a good day. Not every day is all that exciting. Some days can be rather rubbish actually, or just a bit ‘meh’. Today though, Bear was having a lovely day. Some days are just lovely.
My little flyers have arrived ☺️

(And I was just painting, hence the mucky hands! I’m not always covered in paint, promise)
Owl had been flying through the clouds for some time. Tired and lost, she had to find the courage to keep going. It was okay to be scared. Being brave was about doing something despite being scared. She took a breath, stretched her wings and flew on.
Fox had been optimistic about a new year and all the things he would achieve. January had come and he wasn't feeling at all motivated. He was upset with himself for not being better. Then he remembered he was doing his best. There was no rush. He took a moment and smiled.
Happy New Year! Hope you all have a fabulous start to the year, with no pressure to be anything but who you are!😚💛 #NewYear #2026 #WhenBeastsSpoke
“Sometimes,” thought Owl,“taking one more breath is all there is, and it’s enough. The moon rests in the sky as she waits for night. Trees stand still, ready to be the shade. "And we just have to take one breath, then another, then another after that.” You are enough. Just breathe.
Fox closed her eyes, felt the cold on her face She smiled at the darkness, lost in winter's brace Solstice had come, the promise of more light Nature's cycle was done by end of this night She wished all souls love with the return of the sun and Solstice blessing for everyone

I have been enchanted by Charlotte's paintings and story writing since she was very small, so can't WAIT for opening night!

Stag stepped out from the forest and moved through the glen, following the morning mist. When he stopped, the mist found him instead, gently settling on his antlers. 'Not everything wants to be chased,' he thought. 'Some things only come when I am still.' He stood quietly and noticed the mist surround him.
Deep in the conifer forest, Squirrel paused at the edge of his favourite loch and sipped the icy water. He’d been feeling a bit frazzled lately, not quite himself, but as he saw his reflection, he smiled. Sometimes, all you need is a quiet moment with yourself to see things more clearly.
At this time of year, there was such a big pressure to be sociable. Honestly, Robin liked being alone sometimes. He wasn’t being rude, he didn’t want coaxing out, and there was no need to worry about him. He really just fancied a bit of ‘me time’ amongst the hustle and bustle.
Fox watched the snowfall, utterly captivated. She could watch forever, her mind drifting along with the snowflakes as they floated and fell with each whisper of wind. Well, maybe not for too long actually, she was getting pretty chilly and quite fancied curling up somewhere warm.
Squirrel had spent what felt like forever gathering and burying nuts beneath the roots, leaves and frosty soil. Now, with the world soft and white, it was time to enjoy the rewards. She would eat, then rest, then eat again. And then probably have a nice big nap. Winter was the best.
Robin had the best view in the garden, and with that came a certain responsibility. A place to watch over the souls below, especially in the winter, when the world hushed a little, and someone might be wishing to feel less alone. Robin liked to remind them that someone was near.
There's nothing better than a blank slate. To Hare, that blank slate was a field of freshly settled snow. Pure bliss. It represented new beginnings, new dreams, and had all the potential of a blank canvas. So inviting. She also just really enjoyed making the first paw prints.
When Fox slept, she got lost in her dreams. Utterly, completely and beautifully lost in magic and wonder. She had started to realise it was pretty much the same when she woke. If she paid attention, she could always be utterly, completely and beautifully lost in magic and wonder
