The gun photo comes from this article […]
News article headline: "Regional council voids policy limiting Wilmot water taking with opposition from residents..." with a photo of a man's hands holding a machine gun. Also on the caption: "Local News | CityNews Kitchener 7:51 a.m."
This Wilmot water taking issue is a lot more serious than I thought!

A member of Fight For Farmland, Susanna Compton, wrote to mark 2 years since the #WilmotLandGrab began for the Rural Voice.
Her article ends with this: "This is about our food sources. And we all eat three times a day."

We have options to protect our farmland, moraines and groundwater aquifers:
- A Bluebelt to protect critical water resources
- A Foodbelt as proposed by MPP Mike Schreiner
- An expansion of the Greenbelt

Happy #FamilyDay to the family farms in #WilmotTownship. The ones that feed our families.
If given the choice, would you take your family to visit an industrial mega-site or a family farm?

Cancelling the #WilmotLandGrab:
· Does NOT ban future employment lands in the proper location
· DOES protect taxpayers, residents, & Region’s credibility

See what Kevin Thomason, Councillors Wilkinson, Martin and Cressman had to say about the growth they want to see in Wilmot? Should we have some more density with 6-storey buildings or do we continue to expand into the farmland?

If something like that happened in Wilmot, there's no way Wilmot Township can afford that bill. You thought taxes went up last year?
