The quality of the writing certainly improves the healthier you are. If we breakdown it's like having a jammed typewriter. Although, I think it becomes more essential the further into the process you get. Powering through to get a first draft done is fine, editing is the important bit.

History is more than facts — it’s about people. In "When Can We Go Back to America?," I use storytelling to provide context for pivotal events like Pearl Harbor. Thank you, Jim Parkins, for teaching me how to craft impactful narratives. #WritersTip #Nonfiction #NeverAgainIsNow

If you mention any fact or drop anything "scientific" (like the melting point of tin, for example), always triple check it using reputable sources before you commit to it in text.

BTW, YT is not a reputable source.

Don't discount the hard work you do. That's too easy. Celebrate all the progress you make every day even if that means one word written or edited. We are already doing work most people don't do. Celebrate the process.

#writerstip Today I want to talk about phrasebooks. Some call it cheating but I call it utilizing every resource you have.
Common misconception is that it is expected for us to ‘plug and play’ phrases when actually it is a brainstorming tool. These get my brain going. What do you think?

#Storytelling is the art of emotion. Knowing how to balance a scene's emotion is key. Tony Earley’s scale provides a framework to craft & measure emotional intensity—from subtle restraint to high drama— to earn powerful moments. In this series, I’ll explore this #writerstip. #booksky #ScriptTips

#Writerstip Be as careful about starting a fictional pregnancy as if it's your own. It will constrain your timeline & it is SO annoying a woman can't be pregnant for 2 years or 2 months and give birth at an appropriate moment in the plot, then ride off adventuring. Life is like that. So is fiction.

Sometimes I think writing is more science than art.

It takes a lot of planning and experimentation to make a story work.
