It's day 2 of SPS 2025 and Team #Xentara is ready to show you the future of software-defined automation together with our partner Hilscher and customer BenThor, who graciously provided us with this year's central exhibit: a laser engraving machine completely controlled through Xentara - bye bye PLC.

Donnerstag war es soweit: Unser Fachworkshop "Echtzeitsteuerungen in Hochsprachen programmieren" ging pünktlich los. Nach einer kurzen Vorstellungsrunde und einer Einführung in #Xentara (inklusive Tech-Demos) ging es dann bei Butterbrezen, Snacks und frischen Getränken schnell ans Eingemachte:

Im Herzen des BENTHORcube läuft eine #Echtzeitsteuerung und I/O-Kommunikation auf Basis von #Xentara. Die Lösung wurde gewählt, nachdem Benthor den Wunsch hatte, die klassische monolithische SPS durch eine flexible, leistungsfähige softwarebasierte #Steuerung mit kleinem Footprínt abzulösen.
