In the new Mew Mew anime, voice actress who played Ichigo (Zoey) in the old Japanese version, played her mother Sakura (Sarah). Since the new anime is a remake of the original manga, the timelines of the two anime works are unrelated. Therefore, the original enemy monsters from the old anime did not appear. However, what if Sakura were to remember past trauma through the voice actor's memories?...so I came up with the fan-service-like fun fact. This work represents this metafictional idea that was inspired by the commonality between voice actors. The bronze statue of the kappa is a Bachigappa, an enemy monster that hit Ichigo with a stench attack.
