Pay attention folks. This is how it's done. Trump sues his own DOJ, run by his private attorney, for $10 billion. Normally that would go through the courts with the DOJ arguing AGAINST giving Trump $10 billion.
Instead, his DOJ will negotiate a settlement OUTSIDE of court. Literally inside dealing.
1/6 🚨 MASSIVE REGULATORY SHIFT. The FCC and DOJ just officially blocked the Nexstar-Tegna merger. Why? Because regulators are no longer buying the "we need to scale to survive" argument. This has huge implications for the PSKY/WBD battle.
On multiple occasions Patel’s security detail had difficulty waking him because he was seemingly intoxicated, according to info supplied to DOJ and White House officials. A request for “breaching equipment”was made because Patel had been unreachable behind locked doors.
The DOJ initially filed the lawsuit as part of its effort to continue Trump’s immigration crackdown and weaponize voter registration information in deep-blue states. But now Rhode Island has become the fifth state—along with California, Michigan, Massachusetts, and Orgeon—to reject Trump’s meddling.
Rep. Jamie Raskin moves to file an amicus brief in appeals over DOJ’s effort to vacate Jan. 6 convictions of Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leaders, also urging the court to appoint an independent amicus, warning no one is defending the jury verdicts.
When a prosecutor finds that there is insufficient evidence to prosecute one of Trump’s enemies after a thorough assessment of the facts and law, he just fires the prosecutor and gets a new one to hack it up. Authoritarianism 101 from Trump’s Gangster Lawless DOJ.

US judge torches DOJ plea for Rhode Island voter files as lawless fishing raid. Trump's fraud mirage fuels federal intrusion, curdling state sovereignty into partisan sludge. #VotingRights
MS NOW confirms: The Trump DOJ has removed the lead prosecutor overseeing the investigation into John Brennan.
Maria Medetis Long told colleagues that she had recently told her superiors that there was not ample justification to bring criminal charges against Brennan.
It’s OK. Jeanine Pirro will come to the rescue and get a grand jury to laugh in she and the DOJ’s dumb faces.
I understand that at the motions hearing in this matter held on April 14, the Court had questions regarding the motion to seal in this case. I was not able to attend the hearing, and the government has since moved to dismiss this case after a more fulsome review of the additional video evidence not available at the time the complaint issued, but the Court deserves to have its questions answered, so I write to supplement the record made at that hearing. First, the Court and counsel are correct that the claim in the motion to seal that there were individuals identified in the affidavit apart from Mr. Adbebe was inaccurate and was a mistake. The motion was drafted with standard language and I failed to remove this inapplicable provision when editing. I should have more narrowly tailored the language of the motion to reflect the affidavit. The Court and Mr. Adbebe were due a much greater degree of care in the preparation of this motion. This was not done with any intent to mislead the Court; as counsel notes, the affidavit that was submitted to the Court simultaneously with the motion to seal plainly shows who is and is not identified. There are issues raised in Mr. Adbebe’s motions in which I had no input, awareness, or control, but I had control over this, and I take responsibility for the error.
Several of MN defendants whose arrested Bondi staged in February complained that she violated sealing orders the govt had asked for. Weds, DOJ moved to dismiss the case in which defendant had moved aggressively for sanctions, Kirubele Adbebe, but not b4 AUSA tried to explain themself.
Every Oregonian deserves to feel safe in their communities – and that includes children.
Here at Oregon DOJ, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigates and prosecutes crimes against children across our state.
The League of Women Voters of Michigan — represented by the Brennan Center, @campaignlegal.org, and Goodman Acker — filed a brief in the Justice Department’s lawsuit seeking the state’s unredacted voter rolls. The DOJ is putting the integrity of elections and voters’ data security at risk.
It would be comical if it wasn’t so serious. This DOJ is totally incompetent.
@marcelias.bsky.social you were very measured in this reporting, almost zero snark. That must have been hard.

The corrupt DOJ lost again Friday, as a federal judge dismissed its lawsuit to force Rhode Island to provide unfettered access to its voter registration rolls, bringing the agency’s record among active cases to five defeats, zero wins and 25 cases pending.

🚨BREAKING: After losing five straight cases attempting to access state voter rolls, the DOJ tried to patch a key legal flaw in its Minnesota lawsuit — only to attach the wrong document and rely on a single, disputed allegation as its new justification. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
President Trump is also demanding approximately $230 million from the Justice Department (DOJ) (U.S. taxpayers) to compensate for federal investigations into his conduct, including the Russia probe and the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case. Assuming another enemy position against us.
Todd Blanche shouldn’t be employed by the DOJ in any capacity
In a major state antitrust investigation, California's Attorney General has unsealed hundreds of records revealing that Amazon illegally pressures its marketplace sellers to engage in price-fixing.
While Trump's DOJ lets corporate lawbreakers off the hook, states are still holding them accountable.
A related problem:
Trump so dominates the Justice Department that
when his friends (and he) file a lawsuit against the federal government,
DOJ can settle the case (no matter how dubious), &
the govt pays out millions of $
(out of the Judgment Fund).
E.g.:
DOJ $1.2m settlement w/ Michael Flynn
It is absolutely not “completely normal and healthy” (as DOJ claims) to move prosecutors around on cases to get the result you want when the ethical, career prosecutors won’t do your bidding.
ALERT: Scott MacFarlane reveals new court filings showing Trump may receive a taxpayer-funded payout from his IRS lawsuit — while the DOJ also moves to return taxpayer money to pardoned January 6 defendants.
Your tax dollars could be going directly to Trump and those involved in the Capitol attack.
Binance has reportedly facilitated billions of dollars for Iranian sanctions evasion & illicit Russian oil sales. As a part of my PSI investigation, I’m demanding information on Binance’s compliance with its DOJ/FinCEN anti-money laundering settlements.
Criminal Trump is stealing taxpayers' money in plain sight. Where are the FBI, the CIA, the DOJ, and the rest of the law enforcement agencies?
Scoop: As top prosecutor exits DOJ grand conspiracy probe into Brennan & co., a less experienced political appointee recently joined the case.
Todd Blanche aide & former Cannon clerk during Jack Smith case, Christopher-James DeLorenz, is now handling Brennan. news.bloomberglaw.com/us-law-week/...
